Carnegie Repository Tour/Downtown Bryan Walking
March 2nd , 12pm-2pm

As part of TSHA Annual Meeting, registrants can book a tour of the Carnegie History Center, also known as the Carnegie Library. The Carnegie Library was built in 1903, making it the oldest operating Carnegie in Texas. We specialize as a genealogy library as well as a repository for local history. You can research your genealogy, no matter the origin, from little Bryan, Texas. The collections include family collections from the Harvey Mitchell family, Brazos Valley historical records, and bills of sale for enslaved people. Our holdings date back to the 1820’s. Enjoy an afternoon of genealogy and local history with a one-hour walking tour of Historic Downtown Bryan, highlighting notable architecture and significant points of Bryan history.

Tour bus will pick up and return to the Texas A&M Conference Center.
